Joomla version update 1.5.15

Joomla 1.5.15 has been released on the 5th of November. You need to update your site occasionaly to stay protected from security leaks and to enjoy improved functionalities.

In version 1.5.15 Joomla has closed a moderate front end leak. When logged into the front end with Author access, it was possible to replace an article written by another user. This leak is in all Joomla versions prior to Joomla 1.5.15 Update to the latest version and you are save from this leak.

How to update Joomla?

Download the latest Joomla version from the official Joomla donwload site.

Or download an update patch from the Joomla Code website to update (and upgrade) a previous Joomla version.

If you are planning to update your site make sure you have made a backup first and have tested the update on your localhost / testserver.

After updating your live site you need to test your live site and adjust any configuration changes back to how it was.
