How to test Joomla?

For security reasons you will have limited possibilities on our demo page. You will not be able to control the user manager, global configuration, modules and plugins. But you will be able to add and remove sections, categories, articles, menu items components and media items.

How to make a Joomla article?

To make a Joomla article first make a section in the section manager, then make a category in the category manager (a category goes in a section) and then make an article in the article manager (connect the article to the section and category). This way you are making a tree structure for your articles. This is the same structure you have for your files and folders with windows explorer. This way you will be able to sort your articles by section and category so you will be able to easily find the article you are looking for if you have lots of articles.

When you have created an article you will have to make a menu item to link to the article to make it accessible on the front page. Go to the menu manager "main menu" and make an article > "article layout" menu item and choose on the right side the article you want to link to. On this website we have used a "top menu", but on the demo page you will be able to place the "main menu" on any module position you like.
